HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments can be made by phone on (01466) 765001 or in person at reception.
Urgent
appointments are available with the duty doctor for problems that cannot wait.
The receptionist may ask you to speak to a doctor before these can be allocated. Appointment slots are 10 minutes, if you have several complaints please request a double appointment.
Please report to the receptionist on your arrival. We have a computerised
appointments system and, if you do not book in, the doctor will not know that
you are in the waiting room and you may not be called.
Please inform us
as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment as this will enable
someone else to use it.
For intimate examinations you have the right to
have a chaperone. Please ask if you wish one to be present.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
If you need a home visit please phone (01466) 792116 before 10.30am if possible.
This will help the doctors to plan their rounds and avoid unnecessary delays.
Visits are for people who are housebound or are too ill to go out. Otherwise please
try to come to the surgery.

OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?
If you are telephoning for results please phone between 3.00 and 3.30pm on
any weekday. All laboratory results are assessed by a doctor. The receptionist
may give you the doctor's report or you may be asked to speak to a doctor. In
order to preserve confidentiality we are unable to give out results to anyone
other than the patient themselves (except for children or if there is a legal
guardian).
Please note that for all hospital enquiries and for enquiries
relating to outpatient clinics there is a separate telephone line (01466) 792114.
