Changes to our Service following Coronavirus Posted on 25 Mar 2020

BYDAND MEDICAL GROUP, HUNTLY – THE SURGERY IS NOT CLOSED

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, Bydand Medical Group, Huntly are taking steps to try to minimise the risk to our patients and healthcare staff.

The internal automatic door into the Health Centre is now locked. Please wait for a receptionist to open the door.

All patients with pre-booked appointments have been cancelled. 

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please access the NHS Inform website (details below) first. If you need more advice following this, please telephone 111. As per NHS Guidance, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE GP PRACTICE.

If you feel you need to be seen with non COVID-19 symptoms, please phone the practice on 01466 792116 for advice. Please DO NOT ATTEND the surgery for an appointment unless advised to do so by a GP/Nurse.

If you need to be seen, please phone the Health Centre on 01466 792116 between 08:45 – 09:00 or 14:15 – 14:30 and one of the Clinician team will call you back & discuss your symptoms. If they feel you require an appointment, it will be decided whether you are to come to the surgery or if you require a home visit.

Over the coming days/weeks, we will be setting up the facility to video call patients and instructions will be posted on our Practice Website on how to do this http://www.bydandmedicalgroup.co.uk Updates on the current practice situation will also be posted on our practice website.

Prescription requests – where possible, could this be done on-line or by phoning the prescription answer service on 01466 765000. Please only order prescriptions that are required, you do not need to over order at this time.

Given the anticipated demand on the Healthcare Services over the next few weeks, we are reducing non-urgent and private services.

We would appreciate your assistance in preventing the possible spread of infection by reducing the footfall in the Health Centre.

If you feel you need seen that day, please phone for telephone triage (as above) and do not self present to the Minor Injuries Unit, Jubilee Hospital unless in an emergency situation. Please also do not present if you have COVID-19 symptoms as per NHSInform website.

Please note, neither Bydand Medical Group, nor Jubilee Hospital Huntly are closed.
